Looking Back: Our First Retail Space in Salisbury

When we started Hampshire Candles back in April 2020, we were excited to get out to craft fayres and events and show off our wax melts and candles to everyone.

Sadly, lockdown and COVID-19 meant we couldn't do that, and with so many events cancelled, we decided to look at retail options instead.

Keeping things local, we came across the Phoenix Emporium in Salisbury, a huge warehouse with lots of different retail units inside. With lockdown easing only a few weeks later, we set to work making our space our own.

There was a lot to do. We had to set things up the way we wanted them and get enough stock together to fill the space, all while carrying on with our online customers. It was a very busy two weeks, but we got there in the end.

We had our full range of wax melts and candles on display, along with our best selling reed diffusers and wax melt burners, and there were plenty of other great local traders around us.

It was a big step for a brand new business, and we're proud of how far Hampshire Candles has come since.
