Hampshire Candles
Me (Tom) and my partner Paul have always loved home fragrance products and the love of making them at home.
We have always loved making reed diffusers, scented candles and wax melts at home and often got a lot of comments about them saying how nice they were and such strong scents.
At the start of 2020 the pandemic that is the coronavirus hit the world and for us, it hit us extremely hard at the start of the year. Our livelihoods were turned upside down in what felt like overnight. I work in the travel industry and so that came to a stop across the world and Paul works within events and had all his events that were contracted for the year canceled. We were lost and really didn't know where to turn just like a lot of other people.
One afternoon I got some leftover wax and scents out and made some wax melts. I listed them for sale on eBay and they sold so I did it again and they sold too. So that got me thinking maybe I'm onto something here. With the money from sales, I bought some more wax and scents and then in a blink of an eye we were selling on eBay, Amazon, Etsy and now on our website.
We have been blown away by the comments we have received and love seeing pictures of our products on social media and in our inbox.
Who knows where this is going to take us but we are loving what we are doing and whilst there are still sales coming in we will still make our scented candles, wax melts, and reed diffusers with love.
