Which Refill Size Do I Need?

Our diffuser oil refills are available in several sizes to suit different bottle volumes and usage habits:

  • 100ml refill — suits most standard diffuser bottles and typically lasts 6 to 8 weeks
  • 200ml refill — great for larger bottles or if you want enough oil for two top-ups before changing the reeds

Not sure how much you need? As a rule of thumb, fill the bottle to around two thirds full. This gives the reeds enough oil to wick while leaving room so the oil doesn't overflow when you insert the reeds.

Do I Need To Replace The Reeds Too?

Over time, reed diffuser sticks become saturated and clogged — at this point, flipping them no longer refreshes the scent. We recommend replacing the reeds every one to two refill cycles. We sell replacement diffuser reeds and spare reeds for diffusers separately so you can stock up alongside your refill oil.

How To Refill A Reed Diffuser — Step By Step

  1. Remove the old reeds from the bottle and set aside (or discard if they're past their best)
  2. If switching to a new scent, rinse the bottle with warm water and leave to dry completely before refilling
  3. Pour your reed diffuser refill oil carefully into the bottle — fill to around two thirds full
  4. Re-insert your reeds (or add a fresh set of replacement diffuser reeds) and allow 24 hours for the scent to develop
  5. Flip the reeds after the first 24 hours to kick-start the scent throw

Check the oil level first. If there is still oil in the bottle but no scent, the reeds are likely saturated — replace the reeds and the scent should return straight away. If the bottle is empty or nearly empty, it is time for a diffuser oil refill.
