Wax melt burners are also known as wax burners, wax warmers, candle burners, candle warmers or candle melters. Instead of burning a wick, they gently heat scented wax, so you get all the fragrance of a candle with no wick to trim. Pop one of our soy wax melts, hand-poured in Hampshire, in the dish and warm it with the cosy glow of a tealight wax burner, or at the flick of a switch with an electric wax burner.
Prefer no flame? A plug in wax melt burner or electric wax warmer is perfect for bedrooms and hallways, while an electric wax burner with light doubles as a soft night lamp. Love the classic look? Our ceramic and glass candle wax burners make a beautiful centrepiece and a lovely wax melts burner gift set when paired with your favourite scents.
Wax burners and wax warmers: what's the difference?
A wax burner and a wax warmer do the same job: they gently heat scented wax so the fragrance fills your room. "Wax burner" usually means a ceramic or glass tealight wax burner warmed by a small candle, and "wax warmer" usually means an electric wax burner warmed by a bulb or hot plate. A candle wax burner and a candle burner are other names for the tealight type.
Wax melt warmers: how to choose
Looking for wax melt warmers or a wax melt warmer for your favourite warmer wax melts? Every burner on this page is a wax warmer, so choose the type that suits your room:
-
Electric wax melt warmers: our electric wax warmers heat the wax with a bulb or hot plate, with no flame to watch, and many double as a soft night light.
-
Plug in wax melt warmers: a compact plug in wax warmer goes straight into the wall socket, so it's ideal for hallways, landings and small rooms.
-
Tealight wax warmers: a ceramic or glass tealight wax burner needs no wires and gives the cosy glow of a real flame.
How to use wax melts in a warmer
Pop one or two cubes of your chosen wax melts into the dish, switch on your electric warmer or light a tealight underneath, and the fragrance will fill the room as the wax melts. Each piece gives up to 10 hours of fragrance. We recommend melting for up to four hours at a time, and never leave your warmer unattended. When the scent fades, let the wax cool and pop it out before adding a new melt. Our guide to using wax melts explains it step by step.
Wax burner questions
Which wax burner should I buy?
Choose a tealight wax burner for the glow of a real flame and no wires, or an electric wax warmer or plug-in wax burner for flame-free scent at the flick of a switch.
What wax melts can I use in a wax burner?
Any of our wax melts work in any of our burners. Snap off one or two cubes of a Snap Bar and add more when the scent fades.
Are wax burners safe?
Used sensibly, yes. Stand your wax burner on a flat, heat-resistant surface, never leave a lit tealight unattended, keep it away from children and pets, and let the wax cool before moving it.
